Telangana Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday night declared that the Telangana government has not tapped any phones of AP politicians as being alleged by Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrasekhar Rao also said that he does not expect Naidu to receive any sympathy from the central government despite his pleadings in Delhi. "I do not believe that the Modi government will support Naidu in the face of this kind of treachery and onslaught on an elected government of another state. I do not believe that anyone will come to his rescue," the Telagnana chief minister declared. Chandrasekhar Rao further said the state director general of police will lodge a complaint with the Union home minister over the Naidu government`s decision to deploy security personnel belonging to Andhra Pradesh in Telangana and in Hyderabad for his security and for that of his ministers, and elected representatives of the TDP. Chandrasekhar Rao also said that Naidu was "neck deep in quicksand" and indicated that the note-for-vote scandal was just one bit of the trouble he is in. "There are several things that come to my notice as the chief minister of Telangana. Not all things can be shared now. They will come out in public when the time is ripe," he told reporters at a press conference after a three and a half hour cabinet meeting. On whether Naidu was to be included as an accused in the scandal, Chandrasekhar Rao said he would not be able to comment on that. "The law will take its own course," he said adding that there were several instances of prime ministers, Union ministers, chief ministers and others being brought to book in courts when they committed a crime. Ridiculing the phone tapping allegations, Chandrasekhar Rao said he was one thousand per cent certain that no phones were tapped. "The DGP also clarified yesterday that there was no phone tapping," he said. "You (the media) should ask Naidu why his police and intelligence staff did not learn or realize that their phones were being tapped till his MLA was caught red-handed trying to bribe (Elvis) Stephenson. What were they doing till June 2, the Telangana State Formation Day? What was his police doing for the entire year?" Chandrasekhar Rao asked.
