Sushma Swaraj who is the reason behind the hot topic in parliament explained her stand that she had done nothing wrong in Lalit Modi controversy. All the opposition leaders are protesting against her for supporting Lalit Modi.
The UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi said that”Sushma is an expert in theatrics.” Human resource development minister reacted with the Sonia’s comment and said "Sushma ji's speech is a challenge for the Opposition to get proof against her. Do they (Congress) want to say that Parliament is a stage? Calling an elected leader's speech theatrics is disrespecting the mandate of the people.”
Smriti further added that "Sonia ji's statement just proves that Congress does not want discussion on development, they want only disruption" and “It’s easy for Sonia ji to give a byte, not easy for her to give a speech without reading it out from a paper."
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi went a step further and commented on Swaraj that how much money did Swaraj’s family got from Lalit Modi. “Sushmaji should tell the country how much money her family, her daughter and husband got from Lalit Modi to keep him out of jail.”
The External Affairs Minister made an emotional statement as she did not helped Modi but cancer-stroke wife and also questioned to Gandhi if she would have faced the same situation what would be her solution? Then, Sonia answered that “I would have done my best to help the lady but not by breaking the law.”
