Rajasthan Civic Poll: BJP won the Battle

The ruling party BJP today won a majority in 66 civic bodies including Ajmer Municipal Corporation, whereas the opposition party Congress bagged a total of 35 in the Rajasthan civic body polls. On August 17th a total of 3,351 wards in 129 civic bodies with 15 municipal councils and 113 municipalities in the state had undergone to polling.

BJP won 1435 while Congress won 1162 out of 3351 wards whereas NCP with 19, BSP with 16, CPI and CPI-M with 5 and 1 ended the poll.

Feeling happy with the result, the BJP party President Amit Shah on Thursday congratulated all the party leaders, workers and also Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje by saying, “shown the mirror of truth to Congress.”

Amit also added to his speech, "This victory is the victory of the developmental policies of BJP and good governance in the state. The Congress party standing on the sidelines of the country's politics needs to do some serious introspection. This is the mandate given by people of Rajasthan against antidevelopment and negative politics of baseless allegations of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and the people have shown the mirror of truth to Congress through this victory."

Shah also conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tweet that Modi has tweeted to thank people of Rajasthan for their truth in the BJP government.
