Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday supported veteran BJP leader LK Advani's statement in which he had raised fear sof an Emergency- like situation in the country again. "Advaniji is correct in saying that Emergency can't be ruled out. Is Delhi their first experiment," Kejriwal said in a tweet. n an interview ahead of the 40th anniversary of the Emergency, the veteran leader had said that "forces that can crush democracy" (in the country) were stronger. Pointing that there were "not enough safeguards in India in 2015" to prevent an Emergency-like situation, Advani said that he could not assert confidently that an Emergency could not happen again in India. Beside this an old Advani loyalist Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar found in the BJP patriach's statement that "emergency like situation could emerge again", an element to continue his anti-Narendra Modi campaign at a time when assembly elections are not very far away. It is in this background while supporting Advani's statement the Bihar Chief Minister said "we are facing it (emergency like situation) on a daily basis". "Advani is among the senior-most leaders of BJP and his concerns should be considered seriously. As far as Emergency- like situation is concerned, we are facing it here on a daily basis," Nitish said while talking to media persons on the sidelines of an agriculture and food processing conclave in Patna. Though he did not elaborate much on how the state was facing such a situation, he took the opportunity to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.
