Yoga guru Ramdev on Friday alleged a conspiracy to malign his image and alleged that he was being targeted in a bid to defame Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to reporters on the row over the name of Divya Pharmacy's ayurveda product 'Putrajeevak Beej', Ramdev said ignorant MPs are raising wrong issues. Hitting out at JD(U) MP KC Tyagi, who had raised the issue in Rajya Sabha on Thursday, Ramdev demanded an apology from him. Clarifying on the name of Putrajeevak Beej, Ramdev said, botanical name of this medicine is 'Putranjiva roxburghii' and it's called 'Putrajivak' in Hindi,Gujarati and Kannada.The yoga guru, however, agreed to add disclaimers to his products which had names that could trigger a row. Rajya Sabha had plunged into chaos on Thursday over ayurvedic product 'Putrajeevak Beej', manufactured by Baba Ramdev's Divya Pharmacy that purportedly promised birth of male child. The opposition sought a ban on the drug and stringent action against its manufacturers. The entire opposition joined K C Tyagi, when he raised the issue showing a packet of the medicine, calling it 'illegal' and 'unconstitutional'.
