In a shocking revelation, intelligence reports have revealed that the Jawaharlal Nehru government had placed the family of freedom fighter and Indian National Army founder Subhash Chandra Bose on surveillance for around 20 years. The information of Nehru government spying on Bose’s family was revealed in two declassified Intelligence Bureau files. Meanwhile, the Calcutta High Court has sought an explanation from the Central government for keeping the Netaji files classified. According to reports, the Bose’s family was placed under surveillance between 1948 and 1968. The surveillance on two homes of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Kolkata was seen as a resumption of what was done during the British rule. One of the targets of the surveillance by the Nehru government was Amiya Nath Bose, who was the son of Netaji’s elder brother and participated in the Quit India Movement.
