Left with four days of monsoon parliament session, Congress has made it clear that the protests will continue until the government will not accept their demand of removing ministers and chief ministers who are involved in Lalit Modi case.
When parliament is in session, it is the responsibility of presiding officers and deputy officers to make sure that proceedings be conducted and carried out normally by the two houses Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, said the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
The reason behind his statement is oppositions are not allowing the proceedings to begin in both the houses leading to adjournments till 12 noon on Monday. "We can't have the House to be conducted in a manner that the government is not allowed to speak."
Jaitley said to Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman PJKurien before proceedings were adjourned that, "Your responsibility is to make sure the House runs. If the opposition is allowed to speak, the government must also get a fair chance to speak in the House, you can't have the House conducted in a manner in which the government is not allowed to speak. It is unfortunate in the way House is being conducted. It's your responsibility."
