Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar reacted for the rumours which were spreading on his retirement and gave a straight statement.
There were many rumours regarding his retirement on many news channels and media.
Every media turned to spread news as, Manohar Parrikar who turns 60 by December 13 will retire from his chair.
Rejecting all those windmills, Parrikar tweeted as, “My statement has been misinterpreted and twisted. I did not make any such statement on retirement.”
Manohar also made a series of tweets saying that, "At the age of 60, normally people think of retirement and perhaps I would have also. But I had to take bigger responsibilities at Centre & I assure you that I will come back only after finishing the task I am given".
Manohar Parrikar who has served a three time Chief Minister for the state Goa has took an oath as defence minister for central and also completes one year at the end of this November for his tenure.
He has much responsibilities before he leave the chair like modernization programme of the armed forces and to streamline the procurement process in fast and transparent manner.
