Known assets case of the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his wife has been transferred by the Supreme Court to Delhi high Court.
However, the decision made by Himachal Pradesh high Court of arresting Singh will continue. Apex court bench led by the justice Fakkir Mohammed Ibrahim Kalifulla decided to hear the matter from Delhi High Court.
Kapil Sibal, who is on the side of Singh said that transferring case from one court to another will result in lack of trust in the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
But the apex court rejected the words said by Mr Singh’s appearing. On September 23 CBI registers FIR against Virbhadra Singh, on September 26: CBI raids Virbhadra’s private residence, other places, on September 30: Virbhadra moves Himachal Pradesh high court for quashing of the FIR, on October 1: HP High court retrains CBI from arresting Virbhadra, on October 15: CBI moves the Supreme Court for permission to interrogate Himachal CM, on October 26: Supreme Court issues Notice to CM, wife, on November 5: SC transfers DA case to Delhi high court.
This is what the schedule followed by our law makers in hearing a final decision.
