Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) first National Executive meeting begins in Bangalore on Friday under Amit Shah’s leadership. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, senior leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi and more than 300 party members are among those attending the meeting. The primary focus of the two-day meet will be on strengthening the party in South India and to hold discussion on key strategies including a special session on the land acquisition ordinance. The meeting of the newly-reconstituted National Executive of BJP will also take stock of various programmes initiated by the Modi government in the last ten months.
