Yes, because two of his lead pictures namely Kyaa Kool Hain Hum3 and Mastizaade are all set to release in coming January with the difference of one week.
The two adult sex comedy movies have decided to release on January 2016. Mastizaade recently announced its release date as Jan 29 and Ekta sister of Tusshar decided to release her sex comedy KKHH3 on Jan 22.
Tusshar is very confused with the competition he is going to face with himself. As both are sex comedy movies he thinks that there must be some gap between them to release.
“It will hurt the box-office prospects of the film which comes second as both are adult comedies. It was disturbing for me when the announcement was made. But having said that, I would like to mention that, this is KKHH3’s first announcement. Mastizaade announced a few dates earlier and later changed them. They were to release last October, then on December 6,” says Tusshar.
Tusshar has not yet started his next film Chicago Junction that means 2016 is going to end for Tusshar in Jan itself with two movies.
“I don’t know what happened behind the scenes. As an actor, I don’t have a choice. I will promote whichever film is ready, prepared and definitely going to release. Not just me, any actor would do it like that. I think the distributors, market and film industry should decide which film should come and when. It should be a move for the betterment of all,” adds the comedy actor.
Tusshar also said, “I won’t play favourites. I am an actor I will only promote one film at a time. The offer for Mastizaade came first and I finished it first. I didn’t start KKHH3 till I completed it. KKHH3 didn’t get it cleared from the Censor Board till Mastizaade was cleared. At this juncture I will promote and give my heart and soul to that film which is organised and comes first. I hope that the other will come at a time well-spaced out so everyone can breathe happily. I don’t think the market will allow two films of the same genre to release within a week of each other. I am having a release after three years (Bajaatey Raho) and can’t be having two films releasing together. After this the only film I have committed to is Kabir Kaushik’s Chicago Junction.”
