Sunny Leone after coming across the comments she said, “Sad when people of power waste their time and energy on me, instead of focusing on helping those in need!!!!!”
The comments on the Porn Star Sunny Leone who has appeared in a Manforce Condom advertisement went viral.
The former Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women Barkha Shukla said that "...The shabby, ugly or immoral way the actress seduces or sexually provokes a man in the advertisement to use condoms is nothing but serving immorality and bad practice to the audience of the country which is not acceptable in a country of moral values, ethics, religious values and spiritualism renowned as abode of gods around the globe."
"While expressing my serious concerns, protest and condemnation for this highly anti-moral, anti-women and objectionable advertisement being telecast in TV channels, I urge you to immediately withdraw this advertisement," Singh said in a letter to the Minister of State for Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
In solidarity with Barkha Shukla, the senior CPI leader Atul Anjan and the former DCW chief also upheld that the advertisement will directly amount to provoking men who view women as a object of sexual lust to commit physical assaults, eve teasing and rape.
Hours later of her response, Atul Kumar Anjan apologized her for his comments as, "Supporters of porn and Sunny Leone are raising objections," Mr Anjaan told news agency ANI, "I apologise but don't stand for such ads."
