They have honored him for his relevant work in the field of philanthrophy, altruism, humanitarianism and a course of his global popularity as an actor.
King Khan has received his doctorate certificate from the Vice chancellor HRH The Princess Royal.
After receiving this prestigious honor he shared his life time experiences which as, “My speech today is about Life Lessons at the Edinburgh University and my biggest learning is Life is the only Miracle, I am a Doctor all over again…yay!!” SRK Tweeted.
Shah Rukh Khan in his speech said, “Madness (of the particularly nice/romantic kind) is an absolute prerequisite to a happy and successful life. Don’t ever treat your little insanities as if they are aberrations that ought to be hidden from the rest of the world. All the most beautiful people in the world, the most creative, the ones who led revolutions, who discovered and invented things, did so because they embraced their own idiosyncrasies.”
The professor Charlie Jeffery, Universities Vice –Principal said that, "The University of Edinburgh has very strong ties with India and I am delighted that we are able to recognize the philanthropic work and career of one of the most outstanding stars of world cinema. It is a great privilege to present Shah Rukh Khan with one of our highest honors, a doctorate of the University."
