Bollywood actor Salman Khan will face the verdict on whether he was guilty or not of possessing and using illegal arms to poach ‘chinkaras’ and blackbucks 16 years ago while shooting for the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ near Jodhpur. Reports are that the 49-year-old will be present in the court today (Wednesday). ‘Dabangg’ Khan was accused of killing three ‘chinkaras’ and a blackbuck near Jodhpur in September and early October 1998. Reports are that the forest department had registered a case with the local police stating that the licenses of the arms had expired before the actor went hunting. However, the lawyers of the actor said that he had applied for the license for the weapons as soon as they expired and that he had not used the weapons illegally. Reports are that if the actor is found guilty in this case, he would be sentenced between three to seven years in jail but at the same time would be granted bail immediately. This is not the first time when he has been accused of poaching as he went to jail in April 2006 and again in August 2007 in two other similar cases.The actor is one of the busiest personalities in the industry with numerous ventures lined up before him till 2017.
