When rumour mills were abuzz with Hrithik-Kangana love affair stories few months back, the Bollywood star Hrithik had then tweeted that there were more chances of him having an affair with Pope than with the woman mentioned by the media. However, the actor never thought his wisely chosen word can land him in another legal battle.
Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is already tangled in a court battle because of his alleged ex Kangana Ranaut. But, now it seems that he had to face another legal tussle as a notice has been directed to him for his reference to the Pope in his tweet, months ago.
Abraham Mathai, the All India President of the Indian Christian Voice, an organization that represents the interests of Catholics in India, has directed a legal notice to Hrithik, seeking an unconditional apology for his statement. The notice also claims to have hurt the religious sentiments of Catholics.
On January 28, Hrithik, while taking a dig at his alleged ex love interest Kangana tweeted, "Ther r more chances of me having had an affair with d Pope dan any of d (Im sure wonderful) women d media hs been naming." Now, after over two months of posting the message, Mathai has slapped the legal notice.
While the reason of why Mathai took over two months of time to react is yet to ne known, an interesting fact has come into public domain that Rizwan Siddiqui, the lawyer of Mathai, is also representing Kangana in her legal fight with Hrithik.
During an interaction with a news channel, Mathai expressed that it was an uncalled gesture of Hrithik to drag Pope's name. The actor was also accused of suggesting that the Pope was a gay. Mathai has given a week to Hrithik to apologise for his tweet.
