Mumbai police have been slammed by the several Bollywood celebrities for their shameful act of attacking on couples and now the celebrity list also joins “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” fame Abhay Deol.
The Mumbai Cops had taken few couples into jail by dragging out of their rooms who had checked into hotels in Madh Island and the Aksa beach area in Mumbai.
Speaking about the incident Deol said "I was brought up by the same values as any other from my country, which may come as a surprise to those who think people born into the film industry are brought up with a different set of values (usually loose and privileged). So I get it. The taboo that comes with the topic of sex in my society. "But booking young kids for a crime they didn't commit, physically and mentally abusing them publicly? To me it looks more like it was the police that was guilty of 'public indecency’.”
Some couples have been rounded by police who were making love, after hours of questioning they were allowed to go home with an impose of fine Rs 1200 with their parents.
The 39-years-old took Facebook to express his anger to the police calling the arrest as an act of “indecency.”
