This precious day on that year India Cricket Team has won ICC World Twenty20 Cup defeating Pakistan with five runs. The Wanderers Stadium at Johannesburg was filled with huge crowd and the encouragement of the audience has lifted up the team to win the victory.

India won the toss and chooses to bat; Umar Gul from Pakistan has rested Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Captain) by taking the wickets leaving India with 157/5 in 20 over’s. The cricketer who grabbed the whole world’s attention was none other than Gautam Gambhir. Gambir himself made a total of 75 runs in just 54 balls was a huge support for the team to win the prestigious Cup.

The fate deciding ball was bowled by Sreesanth towards Misabh-ul-Haq, who only managed to increase the height of the ball but fortunately Sreesanth caught the ball leaving Pakistan with 152 for all out.

The sweat pouring match made Irfan Pathan to win the Man of the Match who took 3 wickets for 16 runs; Man of the Series was given to Shahid Afridi.

India has won World Cup in the year 1983 when Kapil Dev was heading the team, after 24 years of wait India again won the World Cup in the year 2007.
