Ajay Jadeja, Delhi cricket team’s chief coach left the team nets on Monday. Whereas, the Rajasthan coach Gautam Gambir begin his campaign.
The reason behind his absence is Jadeja’s son was not good with his health. But according to the cricket buzz, it was said that the appointment of Amit Bhandari as the assistant coach was disliked by Ajay.
“Ajay (Jadeja) has informed us that he would not be able to perform the coach’s duty as his son is not well. He is expected to join the team from the second match,” DDCA president Sneh Prakash Bansal said.
When Bansal was asked about the actual reason he said,”I don’t think that can be the reason. For us, Ajay is the chief coach and his decisions are final. If there would have been such a problem, we would have removed Bhandari as Jadeja is more important to us.”
The DDCA official said that, "He has told some of the DDCA officials that he is not sure why Bhandari is with the team. Jadeja feels that Delhi has a new team and the youngsters would need one man talking to them and two coaches will create confusion."
If Ajay will not come up with the exact reason, then he will be removed. If that’ the case then Vijay Dahiya the former coach of the team will occupy the place.
