Indian Test Captain Virat Kohli decided to co-own the Bengaluru team of Pro-Wrestling League named Bengaluru Yodhas.
PWL consists of six city based franchise against one other with freestyle wrestling in which Kohli’s Bengaluru Yodhas will face UP warriors on Friday.
Kohli was very excited to co-own the PWL team and expressed his happiness as, "I was thrilled on hearing about the Pro Wrestling League and Bengaluru Yodhas. I am no stranger to the city of Bangalore and it is wonderful that I can extend my association by way of the Yodhas.”
"I am confident that the Yodhas will be a vital cog in the scheme of things. I am excited and cannot wait to follow all the action on the mat,” said the confident owner.
Bengaluru Yodhas team has the World Champion bronze medalist Narsingh Yadav (74kg), Sandeep Tomar (57kg), Bajrand Ounia (65kg), Ukraine’s Pavlo Oliiynik (97kg) and Dvait Modzmanashvili (125kg) of Georgia in men’s section.
While in women’s section, five times world champion from Azerbaijan, USA’s Alyssa Lampe, India’s Laita Sehrawat and Navjot Kaur.
