Dashing Batsman Suresh Raina's 32-ball 62 against Royal Challengers Bangalore gave Chennai Super Kings victory by 27 runs on Wednesday. This performance gave Raina the Man of the Match award but he said that credit for CSK's victory should go to Ashish Nehra, who picked up four wickets for just 10 runs. Speaking in the post-match press conference, Raina said the experience and advice that Nehra offers to the bowlers in the team is valuable. "Nehra is the most experienced bowler that we have. He has an idea of when to attack and when to contain. He gives good advice to Mohit Sharma and Ishwar Pandey. He performed well for India during his time and he is doing a great job for CSK. Credit should be given to the bowlers, in particular, Nehra for setting up victory," he said. RCB left out Chris Gayle for this match and they were struggling early on in their chase of 181. Raina said that he was surprised by the absence of Gayle for this match. "I was surprised when Chris Gayle was left out for this match. But, Virat Kohli is a positive captain and Rillee Rossouw has also played some wonderful knocks for South Africa. However, RCB did not start well in the first six overs. Nehra bowled in the right lengths and in the right areas. When you chase 180, one needs to get a good start in the first six overs." Despite a poor start, RCB were still in the game with Kohli batting positively. "When Kohli and AB de Villiers was batting, we knew that RCB were on course to chase the total down. When de Villiers got out, we were favorites but we knew Kohli had the capability to finish the game for his team. The wicket became slow as the game progressed and it became difficult for batsmen to play strokes." Raina's knock continued his love affair with the Chinnaswamy stadium. In the 2014 Champions League T20 final against Kolkata Knight Riders, Raina smashed 109 off 62 balls to help CSK win the title for the second time.
